One tree standing singly proud
Surrounded by a forest crowd
Bough bent in praise to heavens light
Toward a solo star in the night
A million light years in-between
Yet to the eyes
Connected seen
A single star
A single tree
Chosen from God's community
Standing, staring at the view
I must wonder if each man too
Stands singly out so very proud
When viewed from God
